Ahead of the release of the new album, just as something to look forward to, Bas has arrived with a fresh hit and its official full clip, anticipating the new album Milky Way, which will be released tomorrow, August 24.
The video for “Tribe” is directed by Andrew Nisinson and is filmed in the colourful district ‘Little Haiti‘ in Miami; also known as Lemon City. You can understand why if you watch the clip, which is a celebration and kind of promotion of the picturesque Caribbean neighbourhood.
The collaboration with rapper J Cole was more than awaited as Bas started teasing it at Woo Haa! Festival in The Netherlands last July. “Tribe” follows another tropical single and interesting collaboration, “Boca Raton” featuring A$AP Ferg, with a video has been released not long ago, August, 9.
In the video the rap duo perform with live street musicians, and in front of numerous murals by Haitian artist Serge Toussaint.
Both rappers are signed to Dreamville, J Cole’s music label that Bas joined back in 2014; their collaboration is more than welcome and for sure the new album from Bas will be incredible as well.
