Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is just around the corner and as media hype continues to build, Ben Affleck is set to give his performance as the Dark Knight. While we cannot wait for the new DC blockbuster, Ben Affleck has hinted at a further role within the DC cinematic universe. We may see a an Affleck directed Batman film.
Speaking with USA Today, Affleck discussed how inspired he had become since working with Zack Snyder on Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice: “I’ll just say going through the process, I would never have imagined that I could or would direct a movie like this. And in working with (Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder) and seeing what he did and watching him every day, I got really inspired by that and by seeing the scope on which he was telling the story, by seeing what he was able to do with this kind of mythic story on a grand scale.”
While this is not a confirmation, it is exciting nonetheless to consider the director of films such as Argo and The Town making his mark on the superhero genre. Affleck is currently directing Live By Night, a Boston based crime drama, but if Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice proves successful then Affleck would have little reason not to conisder further involvement with DC.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release on March 25.
