Disney’s highly anticipated live action movie Lion King will hit cinemas on July 19, and in the meantime, Beyoncé’s makeup artist, Sir John has teamed up with Disney for a ‘The Lion King’ makeup collection to accompany the film. Not to mention, Sir John and Disney are teaming up with Luminess Cosmetics to release the makeup line.
The announcement confirms that the collection is comprised of eight different pieces, including an eyeshadow palette, a contour sculpting palette, two liquid lipsticks, two bullet matte lipsticks, a highlighter and bronzer duo, and a lip balm, with Sir John Barrett bringing his artistry to the line as the artistic director, deriving inspiration from the film and the culture.
The collection takes its inspiration from the classic Disney film, from the colours of the palettes and lipsticks through to the richness of Africa, while still maintaining the personalities of Simba, Nala, and the Lion Kingdom.
Fans can shop everything in the collection from June 15 at Luminess Cosmetics here, and the collection will also be available in select Ulta stores. All the pieces in the Sir John x Luminess Lion King Collection retail between $24 and $42, but since it’s limited edition, shoppers must be quick to purchase it before it’s sold out.
