Nigerian singer Boj has returned to the microphone again and brought us his latest offering “Trips“. The artist with arguably the most chilled voice in Nigerian Afrobeats does not disappoint with this one, sounding almost effortless on top of smooth piano chords and the mid-tempo beat. “Trips” is that laid back, driving-in-a-sunset type of song that is perfect for casual summer days.
Although this is an unofficial single, it’s another good sign of things to come from the DRB LasGidi member who has featured on a number of songs and is known for breakout tracks like “Cruella”, “BOTM” and most recently “Wifey” feat Dammy Krane. So while we wait for Boj’s next official song due out later this month, “Trips” will no doubt be going on our summertime-fine playlist.
