BoomChild is a Sydney music collective including diverse musicians, a vocalist and an MC. The story started when they met via Instagram through liking each other’s unique individual styles of music and taste.
It’s composed of rappers and vocalists Charbel and Rico, Finbar on keys, Ben on drums, Riley on bass, and James on guitar, and they use a mix of all of their skills and life experiences to create something unique.
There is the urban flavour of Sydney’s inner suburbs, the soulful breeze of Wollongong’s coastal beaches, and the soothing serenity from The Blue Mountains.
They play music because they like it, and they want to show how music can bring people together. They are now a real friends music band. And as they debut, they make music wherever they can, within their bedrooms, in the studio and on the road.
So, I’m glad to introduce you to their debut single “Every Little Thing”, released on October 11 and melting R&B, hip hop, soul, funk and electronic-fused sound.
And as they joke about it, it’s “like a love child between Stevie Wonder, Kaytranada and Anderson Paak“.
It’s a rhythmic and good vibes track. It’s surprising how they mix all of theses different styles. You can sing, dance or just listen to it while you’re chilling; every little details is worked well, and we can really feel the subtle touch of each of their talented musicians.
And, It’s only the first taste of music from this unstoppable new collaborative group.
