South London-based rapper Boy Nash finally returned and blessed our ears with a brand new track after a short musical hiatus. After releasing his highly anticipated EP YMLK Pt. III Shackles back in 2017, which gained massive support from various platforms, the artist took some time off to focus on recording and writing new material.
The first of his series of releases this year is titled “Gotham“, produced by Mantis Media. The track showcases a rather laid-back, mellow Hip-Hop beat and finds Boy Nash tackling topics which seem to be as relevant as ever in today’s society: the purpose of life, your visions for the future, and the scary possibility of getting lost in the sauce.
According to the rapper “Gotham is a record for the people, and it pays strong homage to the roots of Hip-Hop. I want to encourage the listeners to think deeply about their purpose – of they are living, breathing or existing”.
Already in his previous freestyles and song releases Boy Nash could convince us with his strong lyrical talent and gritty bars, and in “Gotham” he once again proves his undoubtable talent and his capabilities of delivering provocative yet incredibly clever content. Listen to “Gotham” below:
