Fantastic news for Irish born Chris O’Dowd as news breaks that he’s been signed to mega American talent agency WME. This is most definitely the highlight of O’Dowd’s career as of yet as this will open a world of opportunities across the pond for the Bridesmaids actor.
Starting his career on British TV as slightly moody IT consultant Roy, in The IT Crowd , O’Dowd has gone on to star in many UK based films such as The Boat That Rocked and Cuban Fury, as well as writing and starring in Moone Boy, a television series in which a young boy turns to his imaginary friend in order to deal with growing up in his wacky Irish family.
O’Dowd has gone on to becoming a smash hit in American after starring in hits like The Sapphires, This is 40, Girls, Epic, Thor: The Dark World and most recently St. Vincent, starring along side Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy. As well as his success in feature films, O’Dowd has recently received knock-out reviews in his Broadway performance alongside James Franco in Of Mice and Men.
