Nigerian-born UK songwriter House Of Miagi has released his latest single “Over Me”. The alternative hip-hop and indie song is a prayer to God, demanding the Lord to “keep looking over” the artist.
Although convinced that no matter the trials God will be there to support him, in this song House of Miagi begins a deep discussion with God, wondering if he still has the protection and favor of God.
He also took this opportunity to express through yearning lyrics his testimony and personal experiences by addressing themes of toxic relationships, family problems and welfare.
Very inspired by those subjects, which granted him to go through a quicker and natural process of writing, the artist describes “Over Me” as one of the easiest to write and composed with the support of producer Oscar Moos and musician Kwaku Adjei.
The rising star also known as HXM, is well know on the British scene, has his tracks “Too Late” and “Sade” are regularly played on BBC Introducing.
His syncretic character styles dwell in a mix of afrobeats, dancehall, R&B and pop, cropped up from talented artist such as Nsync, Craig David, George Micheal and Arctic Monkeys and particularly from his mother’s love for African and Folk music.
