Britney Spears is preparing to release the lead single from her ninth studio album according to Robin Leach, entertainment reporter from Vegas Deluxe. Earlier today (April 10), Leach revealed on Twitter that Spears will be shooting the music video for the single next Monday, followed by an album in just four weeks.
The star spoke to V Magazine (via NME) earlier this year about the album, describing it as “very different” and “the best thing I’ve done in a long time”. Collaborations with producers and songwriters such as Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels (Justin Bieber‘s “Sorry”, Selena Gomez‘s “Good for You”), DJ Mustard, (Rihanna‘s “Needed Me”, Tinashe‘s “2 On”), and more have already been revealed to appear on the highly-anticipated album.
The upcoming album will be Spears’ first studio release since 2013’s Britney Jean which spawned the will.i.am-produced hit “Work Bitch”.
The 34-year old also recently extended her Britney: Piece of Me residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas by two years, and is expected to appear at the Billboard Music Awards in May.
