Watch Camila Cabello go wild and set her mansion on fire in her new “Liar” music video.
Recently, the 22-year-old Cuban-American singer released two new singles form her upcoming sophomore album Romance and now she has dropped humorous new visuals to accompany one of the new tracks.
Liar” is a song about romance, about falling for someone deeply even though you try to deny it. Cabello released the song in conjunction with “Shameless” and said that “These songs are basically the story of my life the past couple years and the stories I’ve accumulated.”
“I knew for a long time I wanted my album to be called Romance because these stories are about falling in love,” she then added.
The clip, directed by Dave Meyers, sees Cabello trapped in a ‘groundhog day’ nightmare in which she keeps reliving a number of scenes that get more and more comic and stupid at the same time, as she tries to escape from her emotions literally.
Crazy visuals open with a scene of Cabello and her rich but boring fiancé having a date at a fancy restaurant, but she suddenly starts choking and dies, waking up in her luxurious bed next to him. The loop keeps going in a series of ridiculous scenarios, where the singer keeps dying crushed by an elephant or being run over by bicycles.
