Since Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion released their new song “WAP” the track has surely been a great success so far, so much that the two popular artists are still celebrating the its success.
With 93 million US streams, “WAP” landed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, and it has considered to have, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, the most first-week streams a single has ever achieved.
Nobody had doubts about the popularity of the smashing single, which is why it is not a surprise that now, Cardi B has decided to drop an entire collection dedicated to it. The track’s official merch offers graphic T-shirts, crop tops, hoodies, sweatpants, but not only. The collection also includes, for the most sporty fans, spandex sports bras and biker shorts.
The merchandise obviously respects the black, pink and white color scheme that we can also find in the artwork of the song, as well as the music video itself. The price range of the items goes from 25$ for the cheapest piece to 125$ for the most expensive one and the collection is already available online on Cardi B’s official page, with an expected delivery of six to 12 weeks after purchase.
The collection seems to have the right potential to have a great success among CardiB and Megan’s fans, but the most ironic element about it is that it respects the controversial theme of the song itself. How? By creating a line of transparent raincoats and black or white umbrellas to remain dry during rainy and wet days, with a big “WAP” printed on the front.
