It’s been five years since CeeLo Green exploded into Pop single megastardom with his smash single “F**k You”, and since then, the musician and former The Voice judge has not released a new studio album. According to Green’s label Atlantic Records, an album entitled Heart Blanche, is due by the end of the year, to follow up on previous 2010 gem The Lady Killer.
In a recent interview with Atlantic Records CEO/co-chairman Craig Kallman, it is revealed that the album is at its final stages of completion and that the wait will be worthy. Green’s manager Larry Mestel also added that, “we’ve got a big, big list of songs that we’ve been going through, and we’re kind of mixing the final songs now“. He also describes the new album as more than a collection of songs.
Even though, there is still a lot of mystery around the actual release date, Mestel did reveal that the LP will have one, big unifying theme. “It’s arguably the best piece of work he’s ever done“, he said. Further details on Heart Blanche, remain tightly under wraps. The nearly complete album is slated for release in the fourth quarter of 2015. Stay tuned!
