After a massive rocket show during Paris Fashion Week, Karl Lagerfeld decided to go big one more time at the Gran Palais in Paris.
For Chanel’s Cruise 2018, he transformed the Art Nouveau palace into a suggestive scenario taken from from an Ancient Greece mythology book, with ancient ruins and pillars. Greece was clearly the inspiration for its new collection titled ‘The Modernity of the Antiquity’.
The collection was goddess-inspired, featuring outfits with draping, one-shouldered silhouettes, gold accents and adorned headbands.
However, you have to lower your eyes to see the main star of the collection.
Bold and knee-high gladiator heels ranging from vibrant yellow to blue, bright red and black definitively stole the show.
Even if Lagerfeld’s muses – Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne and Lily Rose Depp – missed the show due to Monday’s Met Gala, Chanel knows how to impress well.
