Since her superb role in Mad Max: Fury Road as the resilient Furiosa, Charlize Theron‘s schedule has been chock-a-block with new roles. Now she has another big part to add to her list: the villain of the newest Fast & Furious film.
The report comes from Deadline, though it makes no mention of her character; all we know is she’ll be a powerful woman with considerable influence in the criminal underworld, hellbent on causing trouble for Vin Diesel and his gang of car fanatics.
Whilst the lack of details is disappointing, it’s good to know the role is in safe hands; Theron has proven multiple times how comfortable she is with being a villain.
Fast & Furious 8 will see the return of Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson, though we’re not to expect it until April 14, 2017.
