Chris Jobe Releases Groovy New Single ‘Talking With Your Eyes’

Chris Jobe has dropped “Talking with Your Eyes”, a mesmerising song that explores the subtle yet powerful bond of connection. With its mesmerising groove, chilled percussion, and unforgettable chorus, the track effortlessly captures the mystery and intensity of falling in love, highlighting the powerful power of eye contact to convey emotions without the use of words, as well as its unwritten language.

The song, written, produced, and performed entirely by Jobe, was crafted in the lush and secluded jungles of Costa Rica. “I wrote and recorded it in the reverb-filled kitchen of my ‘casita,’” Jobe recalls, describing how he began with a hypnotic acoustic riff.

playing it on his guitar while using a cooking utensil container to prop up the mic. Jobe’s classical finger-picking over jazzy chords sets the mood of the song and embodies the slow-burning passion of seducing someone.

By 2019, Jobe had established himself in the industry, marking his festival debut at Breakaway Festivals and making an appearance on NBC’s Songland, where his anti-violence anthem, ‘It Could’ve Been You,’ captured national attention.

As a highly sought-after topliner for international DJs and an engaging performer with SOFAR and NBC LX, his influence has continued to expand. His live shows, including performances in Los Angeles, have led to billboards on Sunset Blvd and radio airplay in both Australia and Japan.

Since he initially came out of Nashville in 2017, he has had a quick rise in the music industry. His “Thank You Internet” viral video had millions of views that year, and he was named Facebook’s Artist of the Day, directly behind Alicia Keys.

Jobe continued to build his reputation with self-produced tracks like “Lonely Lives,” “Cry,” and “Make It All Better,” drawing attention from major platforms like Earmilk, Ones To Watch, and Spotify’s editorial playlists.

The lyrics reflect Jobe’s experience observing the vibrant nightlife of Costa Rica, where he was, in his words, “a fly on the wall,” watching strangers trying on different stares—whether seeking love or simply a fleeting escape. The track’s ability to capture the electric energy of human interaction is what makes it so relatable and intriguing.

Additionally the track’s production draws you in with a groovy yet laid-back use of percussion that perfectly complements the track’s chilled vibe. The chorus, with its catchy lyrics, sticks effortlessly in your head.

This release marks the second track of eight that Jobe will be sharing in the coming months, continuing to build on the momentum from his early career.
