Triple threat Chris Rock writes, directs and stars in his new comedy Top Five, which premiered at Toronto Film Festival this past September. Well, the wait is over because the trailer is out, giving you a brilliant glimpse of what you can expect from Mr. Rock in his new role as fictional comedian/actor Andre.
Andre is a washed up comedian and actor that finds himself in a life rut as it seems he’s ‘just not funny anymore’. He begins to spend time with a beautiful New York Times reporter, played by Rosario Dawson. What follows is a one day story about change and perspective that brings in the love as well as the laughs. Boasting a whopping cast of Adam Sandler, Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union, Ben Vereen, Tracy Morgan, Jerry Seinfeld, Whoopi Goldberg and Cedric The Entertainer, Top Five is out on December 12.
