Following on from her last release in 2011, the lady with a voice that stands on its own and sits under the ‘R&Brit-Pop’ title, London singer-songwriter Christine Asamoah is back to release a new four track EP entitled Yours, which was created with production duo AliasAudio (Matthew Graham & Leon Afrifa).
Yours was written by Christine herself and is an example of how an EP should sound, there is a beautiful flow that carries through the EP, and when listening from start to finish, you experience all types of emotions and feel like you are a part of her story, as each song follows on to the next so perfectly but yet still has its own unique sound which is what you want when you listen to an entire record – seamless flow.
Yours starts off with a track entitled “Here Again” which is an excellent power ballad and accentuates Christines’s vocal ability, she is also accompanied on the track by fellow London artist/songwriter Jake Isaac who is behind the stunning array of piano playing you will undoubtedly be blown away by. The EP comes to a close courtesy of electro Pop number “The Only One Part II” which steps up the tempo slightly with a more bubbly, infectious summer vibe, but still remains delicate and vocally phenomenal. Making up the middle of the record are “This Has To Be Love” and the EP’s title track “Yours” which sits as the centre-piece for the EP.
Christine’s Yours EP is filled with variety, emotion soaked lyrics, and vocals that could silence arenas, and in my opinion, should be the soundtrack to the next infamous love story. The 4-track EP will be available worldwide on all commercial online music retail platforms as of the 11th of July and you can stream it below right now.
