Cincinnati Pop Riser Catlea Unveils ‘Bones’ As Prelude To Debut Album

Rising indie-pop artist Catlea has unveiled their latest single, “Bones,” released on October 31st, 2024. The track serves as the lead single for their upcoming EP, Bones, which combines three previously released hits—“Like Me,” “Lying,” and “Crumbling”—with new material. The EP sets the stage for Catlea’s highly anticipated debut album, Language Barrier, slated for release on January 17th, 2025.

“Bones” exemplifies Catlea’s distinct artistry, blending indie-pop foundations with soulful R&B elements and a touch of disco, creating a vibrant and genre-defying track.

The song delves deep into the emotional complexities of breakups, portraying the dissonance between lingering attachment and the weariness of moving on. With poignant lyricism and honeyed vocals, Catlea crafts an emotional landscape that resonates with listeners navigating heartbreak.

The track’s production showcases Catlea’s ability to transform vulnerability into art. Initially omitted from the upcoming album, “Bones” was reimagined in collaboration with producer Jason Boshoff and guitarist Oscar Garcia-Bragado at Room to Studio in Barcelona. Their creative synergy brought the song to life, turning it into a standout addition to Catlea’s growing discography.

Catlea’s music is celebrated for its emotional depth and innovative soundscapes, earning praise from publications like It’s All Indie and Clout. With nearly four million Spotify streams and accolades for their previous work, the Cincinnati native has steadily built a loyal fanbase. “Bones” continues this momentum, delivering a powerful narrative and cementing Catlea as a rising star in the indie-pop realm.

Fans can look forward to Language Barrier, a 10-track album that navigates the stages of grief and healing, exploring themes of betrayal, heartbreak, and self-discovery. As Catlea’s music continues to connect audiences through shared emotional experiences, “Bones” marks another step in their journey of artistic growth and profound storytelling.
