A whole bunch of great actors have been added to the cast of Liza Johnson‘s Elvis & Nixon! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Colin Hanks, Johnny Knoxville, Tracy Letts, Alex Pettyfer and Sky Ferreira will join Kevin Spacey, Evan Peters and Michael Shannon in the flick that tells a story inspired by the 1970’s meeting between the two men.
Kevin Spacey will be playing President Nixon, with Michael Shannon opposite him as the famed rocker, Elvis. Colin Hanks is set to play Nixon’s aid, Egil Krogh, with Knoxville playing Elvis’ head of security. Magic Mike star Alex Pettyfer is penned to play Elvis’ best friend, Jerry Schilling, with Sky Ferreria starring as Schilling’s love interest. This is an impressive cast for Johnson, who has directed such films as Hateship Loveship and Return. With filming having already begun, it is likely that Elvis & Nixon will hit theatres sometime between late 2015 and early 2016.
