On August 17, Courtney Barnett played an impromptu gig outside of Camden tube station. Well… she told people the time and city, but no one knew that she would choose Camden until she was already there. The performance was, it turns out, in order to create the music video for “Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go To The Party“. Fans and people on the high street ended up being part of the music video, which consists of Barnett and her band jamming on the street.
Multiple angles are used in the visuals, and some lower quality shots look to be from the phones of people who were lucky enough to be there that evening. The song is from her latest album Sometimes I Sit and Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit which was released in March and can be purchased here. Watch the music video for “Nobody Really Cares…” below.
