Last night Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist Courtney Barnett performed tracks from her critically acclaimed debut album Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit on Saturday Night Live’s season finale where she absolutely blew the audience away. Performing singles from the debut, she played electric, visceral versions of “Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go To The Party” and “Pedestrian At Best” where her vocals were on point, and the instruments were wild, loud and aggressive.

This performance is following her debut’s massive success, where she received 8 nominations and 4 awards at the 2015 ARIA music awards as well as a Grammy nomination for best new artist this February.

This was the 41st season of Saturday Night Live, and the episode was hosted by Fred Armisen. Barnett also featured in a comedy skit alongside Bobby Moynihan, where they joked about Australian slang.
