Curren$y, leader of hip-hop collective Jet Life and New Orleans rapper, has released a new mixtape titled The Legend Of Harvard Blue, named after Yaphet Kotto’s villain character from 1974 blaxploitation movie Truck Turner. The mixtape features 8 tracks, 7 of which are brand new, alongside last week’s “Supply And Demand”.
This is Curren$y’s 6th release this year, and it follows in a similar movie inspired theme shown in his other mixtapes such as Revolver and The Carrolton Heist. The production credits are yet to be released, but The Legend Of Harvard Blue includes beats from Jet Life duo Cookin’ Soul, and also no featured artists- not unlike Revolver‘s approach, which only featured rapper Rick Ross.
