Tel Aviv based artist and producer Tomer Katz, also known as D Fine Us, has released a new single “Bad Luck” featuring delta blues singer Pat Thomas.

In discussing the song which came out along with a video, D Fine Us says, “‘Bad Luck’ is a song about a personal journey we all go through when we leave behind an old part of ourselves in order to grow and the video portrays an abstract manifestation of the well-known metaphor of ‘going down to the river to lay your burden down’”.
The musiv video for “Bad Luck” is made of a stunning assembly of footages created by directors Anat Guteberg and Eden Kalif, which aims to captures the essence of the song.
About Pat Thomas, Tomer says, “our common musical language has helped us to connect the dots and communicate despite the cultural differences, no words were necessary. Pat is an amazing delta blues singer and a true storyteller. I pulled out my harmonica and a bottle of whiskey and started jamming”.
Over the 12 past months, Tomer Katz has created and developed D Fine Us as musical project which draws its influences from delta blues, soul and R&B, blending old with new and incorporating contemporary with electronic textures to create a ‘culture-clashed’ music effect.
“Bad Luck” is taken from D Fine Us’ upcoming album Safe To Disconnect, which is set to be released on July 2.
