Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. has earned him the biggest first week sales of 2017 and of his own career. Kendrick has now earned his third number one album, selling over 600,000 units in its first week, surpassing Drake’s More Life, which sold 505,000 album units for the week ending March 23.
DAMN also gained the second-largest first week streams ever for an album, with approximately 227,000 streaming equivalent units factored into total first-week sales. Drake’s More Life holds the streaming title with approximately 257,000 streaming units.
