Death Grips have released the video for “Giving Bad People Good Ideas”, taken from their most recent album, Bottomless Pit. Also, it was announced that Death Grips’ Zach Hill and Andy Morin would be co-producing Drug Apts‘ EP, coming under Tyler Pope’s, of LCD Soundsystem, Interference Pattern Records.
“Giving Bad People Good Ideas” opens with a chorus of female girls singing, “I keep giving bad people good ideas”, before coming in with bludgeoning guitar and drums. Then heavily distorted bass provides a brief intermission, before kicking back in with the brutality. The closing moments kicks off as the song started, before wailing out on the guitar.
The clip for the audio is a curious one. Probably the most destructive, low budget video you might ever see. You see, it consists of a shoe being ripped apart, its sole used to mime along to the words. It is comical in a way, with the phantom hands laying waste to this shoe, and even motioning to play along with those crazy drums, using parts of said dismembered shoe.
