Twitter spares no one especially anyone who they feel is “reaching” and actor/singer, Demi Lovato fell victim to Twitter’s “not here for it” policy. Friday 24, she tweeted “And I am 1% African” and Twitter lost its feathers! Random people were coming for her left, right and centre. But all she did was announce something she found out about her ancestry, so what’s the big deal?
I personally do not get why the backlash was so strong as I think it is interesting to learn about your ancestry but, as I said, Twitter is forever looking for the next person to make the butt of the joke and unfortunately Demi was just that.
