Following the worldwide success of his acclaimed California EP last year, global superstar Diplo today releases brand new single “New Shapes” featuring BBC Sound Poll 2019 winner Octavian. The track is the latest offering from his new EP Europa.
“New Shapes” definitely shows off the versatility of both artists; Octavian showing off his lyrical skills and vocal skills that we’ve witness over his meteoric rise to prominence over Diplo’s mellow, trap heavy production. Taking a different approach from his usual dance/electro avenue, Diplo still keeps true to form, conjuring up a strong single indeed.
His forthcoming EP, Europa, will feature European artists and club sounds inspired by his extensive time creating and performing in the continent, spearheaded by first release “Boom Bye Bye” with exciting French trap Niska. In celebration of the EP, Diplo has announced two very special and intimate shows on Feb 20 at Hackney’s Night Tales and Feb 21 at Rex in Paris.
