Canadian producer Doldrums, aka Airick Woodhead, has created a ghostly melting pot of dance music in his latest single “Loops”. It is the third track released from his forthcoming album The Air-Conditioned Nightmare, due to be released via Sub Pop on April 4. “Loops” merges pulsating, abstract sounds with an upbeat tempo. It is Doldrums’ most dance oriented record to date, with a style not dissimilar to Caribou. Woodhead’s vocals overlay the track with a surprising hint of R&B until fractions of lyrics are spliced as the song peaks at it’s misty conclusion. “Loops” is available to stream below.
