It was rumoured that Drake was going to release a mixtape in January, however when the internet remained quiet as the days ticked on and it became February, people were ready to dismiss the new mixtape as nothing but a rumour. But it was only half wrong. Yes, Drake was indeed dropping a mixtape this year, it just happened to be later than expected. In a move that was probably inspired by Beyonce, the Toronto artist dropped his new mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late a few hours ago on iTunes, without any prior promotion.
Within two hours, it is said that Drake had already made $700,000 from sales of the mixtape, which is hardly surprising. His album Views From The 6 is still set for release this year, so until then, fans can busy themselves with this tape which features Lil Wayne, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Travi$ Scott. Head over to iTunes to purchase the mixtape right now.
