British pop sensation Dua Lipa has teamed up with Pepe Jeans London to launch her own collection with the brand and it is officially out now!
Earlier this year, the Grammy-winner artist Dua Lipa was tapped up by the UK clothing brand to be the face of their Spring Summer 2019 campaign. According to The Inquisitr, Lipa confessed that she wanted to create her own line, something affordable and wearable for everyone.
“I wanted my first ever collection to be about discovering core shapes, styles and fabrics, to establish the direction and mood with a few flourishes!” she said in a statement.
On Tuesday night, the singer organised a very intimate special party at Victoria House Basement, in central London, to officially celebrate the launch of her own clothing collection.
“I’m so excited and so happy to be here and to see people having a good time, enjoying themselves and liking the collection. I couldn’t ask for more than this”, Dua said, adding that “I’m really proud of this collection and it’s so nice to see it come to life.”
During an interview with Vogue Australia, Lipa also shared some details about the inspiration behind her campaign. “It was all very much 1990s London and festivals. I’m a Glasto enthusiast. I’ve gone for the last five years in a row. I love it. I love the freeness, the youthfulness, the carefreeness…”
“All the clothes in this collection are an extension of my personal style mixed in with what I think my friends and my fans would love. It’s been so fun to do this and I’m excited to see what everyone thinks.”
