You might remember award-nominated East London actor Richard Wisker from his roles in quintessential British TV cult classics such as The Bill, Law & Order UK, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Casualty, and the CBBC revival Tracey Beaker Returns.
The fast-rising British talent re-emerged on our screens this summer in the new BBC comedy series Flatmates, which didn’t just mark his return to acting, but also the start of his music career, as he performed what would go on to be his debut single titled “Wildfire” on the show, to rave reviews.
Out now on all platforms, “Wildfire” is co-written by Richard Wisker and produced by Adam Moss, and is the first taste of Wisker’s upcoming debut EP, which is slated for release in 2020, which will be preceded by a few more singles in the coming months.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Justin Beiber, Austin Mahone, and Conor Maynard, Richard Wisker shows off his sweet vocals, infectious pop-R&B sensibilities, and exciting performance prowess, complete with honest and relatable songwriting dexterities.
Speaking about his new track ‘Wildfire’, Richard Wisker says, “this track ‘Wildfire’ means meeting someone and you only see them, and no one else, this person sets your heart on fire. I have waited such a long time to give my supporters my music, and now is the perfect time, with having ‘Flatmates’ out on the BBC, to release a single showing the musical side of me“.
