Ed Sheeran has been confirmed as the new headline act for Birmingham’s Fusion Festival which is to be held later on this month. The superstar will be playing a 90 minute slot on Friday, August 28, with Tinie Tempah playing just before him.
The singer said on social media “I know I said Wembley was my last UK show of this tour but my mate had a cancellation on his festival so I’m filling in last minute. It’s called Fusion fest, it’s in Birmingham, and it’s on the 28th of August, this is the last booked UK show of the X tour. No more after. Tickets are still available online, see you there x“. He also said “I’m delighted to be playing Fusion Festival after stepping in at the last minute to help out the guys at Fusion and support The Princes Trust. Birmingham crowds are always lively, so I can’t wait to come back. See you in a few weeks!”
The star seems to be the knight in shining armour in the wake of the huge disappointment that fans of Justin Bieber have had to put up, with when he pulled out of playing at the festival last week. Lets hope the replacement will make them happy again.
