Ed Sheeran has been lending his hand as an actor for the Australian soap Home And Away while he was touring the country. The episode is due to air in Australia shortly, aand a short trailer has been released which shows Ed rocking up and turning some heads down on the beach. Ed plays the part of Teddy, who was taken care of by established character Marilyn Chambers when she was his nanny back in Blighty. Although the events in Summer Bay are entirely fictional Ed is actually playing himself in the episode with most characters recognising him as the world famous singer songwriter. However, in a humorous twist Chambers does not realise his current superstar status, according to TV Week. The episode which Sheeran graces will be shown in the UK in the winter on Channel 5.
