Embrace The Diverse Musical Journey Of Kid Judo On ‘Scandalous’

“Scandalous” showcases Kid Judo’s ability to seamlessly flow back and forth from smooth bars to pop melodies, a new pop-rap track, drawing influence from early 2000’s hip-hop acts such as Pharrell and Timbaland.

Kid Judo, born Brady Walz in San Diego, California, developed a keen interest in music from an early age. He began playing drums at the tender age of eight, quickly falling in love with the art of music-making. His journey into recording began at 15 when he laid down his first track in his high school band room alongside a few close friends.

In addition to his musical pursuits, he is an audio engineering student, aspiring to sustain himself through his various musical passions. Deeply involved in other musical projects, he plays drums for the San Diego emo/shoegaze band Echinacea and releases instrumental music under the alias Blue Bunny.

Musically, Kid Judo’s style is a total blend of hip-hop, pop, R&B, and indie influences. His debut album, “Until Next Time” released in March, showcases this diversity. While predominantly a rap album, it features tracks that venture into R&B and indie pop territories, reflecting his eclectic taste and versatility.

Looking to the future, Kid Judo is excited about his upcoming, yet-to-be-named album, rumored to have a stronger indie influence than his previous works. The official music video for “Scandalous,” directed by WakeUpRaw and Kid Judo, complements the song’s vibe.
