Fantastic Four has not had the best opening weekend, having only made $25.7 million in the US even though the film was predicted to make around the $40 million mark. However, the film can celebrate a little, having topped the box office in its opening weekend in the UK.
The Fox reboot took in £2.7 million which narrowly beat out Mission:Impossible – Rogue Nation which took in an impressive £2.4 million with the film being in its second weekend in cinemas. Inside Out rounded out the top three bringing in £1.9 million, a huge success for the brilliant Pixar adventure in its third weekend at the box office. The only other newcomer to the top ten was the interesting thriller The Gift which came in fifth making £584,000.
