The eagerly anticipated sequel to the movie adaptation of Veronica Roth’s Divergent novel series, Insurgent has unveiled its final poster. Divergent, released in 2014 is the story of a futuristic post-war Chicago that has been divided into factions, matching people with others that share the same characteristics.
One inhabitant, Tris Prior (The Fault In Our Stars‘ Shailene Woodley), discovers she is divergent and that divergents are seen as threats to society, with Four (Theo James) playing her tutor and love interest, helping her along the way. The arc entails one faction plotting against another and eventually releasing the secrets behind the governing factions and consequently disturbing the peace.
The sequel to this spectacle is set to be released in the UK on March 20 this year. The epic official trailer was released last month and has fans going crazy. We look forward to seeing what director Rob Schwentke has in store. Watch the trailer below.
