The first piece of artwork for the Brett Morgan film about Cobain’s life, Montage of Heck has been revealed. The film is going to premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival taking place in Utah. The documentary film is going to be released in the UK in April. Not too much has been revealed about the artwork itself, but it shows what looks like a young Kurt walking down the pathway from his house, it could very well be depicting the place where he grew up. The film suggests itself to be the organic and definitive insight into Kurt Cobain’s life; if the darker themes are not over exaggerated it could well be one fine film. But it depends if anyone really cares anymore, as the combination of fame and tragedy is becoming a bit of a self-destructive parody. Perhaps his music and that amazing voice is enough to remember him by, at this point.
