With her debut album LP1 in stores now, Young Turks rising star FKA Twigs sits down with RBMA Radio Berlin to discuss her new music, music inspirations, simple sentiments in songs, the appeal of old music versus some modern Pop culture and finding herself through dressing up like Annabella Lwin among other things. She also talks about her creative processes and how some of her records came about including “Water Me” and “Papi Pacify”, why she has simply named her previous projects EP1 and EP2, and the importance of growing as an artist. As part of her conversation with RBMA Radio Berlin, FKA also played some music which has inspired her over the years, from Marvin Gaye’s “Calypso Girl”, to “Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby” by Louis Jordan, to “I’m A Poseur” by X Ray Spex.
