Since their 2009 departure, Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie of Flight Of The Conchords have been missed by many. They have described themselves in the past as, “New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo”. It appears, however, that after seven years hiatus the duo have returned.
They have announced a North American tour, and will be unveiling new material. The tour launches on Saturday, June 11 at Cleveland’s State Theatre and runs straight through the summer. This caps off with an appearance at Los Angeles’ famed Greek Theatre on Wednesday, July 27. The duo’s live performances are said to have gained them a worldwide cult following.
