Flirt is an American artist from Dallas, Texas, sharing a new track with us all, entitled “Laced”. This is featuring Sambora and production handled by Earthie. A curious listen, indeed.
“Laced” begins with ringing chords of guitar, perhaps bass. The lyrics seem quite dark, horrorcore elements appearing to come through much the first verse. Then comes the second verse.
This one seems a bit more existential and philosophical. The closing minute or so begins with words rapped in unison, then what follows is more hardcore wordplay than chop ‘em up brutalism. The ending of funky histrionics is a curious one, at odds with the rest.
