Ahead of the release of What Went Down on Friday (August 28), Foals have just debuted “London Thunder” via Mashable. In the run up to the album’s release, the band have already shared the singles “Knife In The Ocean”, “Mountain At My Gates” and the LP’s title track. “London Thunder” is a subdued and ambient track that explores feelings of melancholy and was “informed by touring, being absent in some way“, front-man Yannis explained to NME.
The video continues a style of filming that Foals developed during 2013’s Holy Fire and which culminated in a series of recordings called the CCTV Sessions. You can pre-order What Went Down via iTunes here. Watch the CCTV version of “London Thunder” below.
