French-American singer and songwriter Francesca Blanchard has just released the music video for her emotional new single “Did It To Myself“, an inspiring track featuring smooth vocals and driving indie-pop beats.
Francesca Blanchard was raised in the south of France in a bilingual household, as her father is French and her mother American. She travelled the world due to her parents’ work for humanitarian aid agencies, but she is currently based in Burlington, Vermont.
After years spent acting, singing and writing, in 2015 Francesca Blanchard released her debut album Deux Visions, including tracks both in French and English that gained her praises from local and international critics. She toured in North America and Europe before she started trekking through the West Coast and Ecuador, where the artist volunteered as a music teacher.
With successful singles like “Free” and “Maria” among her best-known tracks from the recent years, Francesca Blanchard is now back with the emotional single “Did It To Myself”. About her latest release, she stated: “I wrote it in between saying goodbye to something I thought I needed, and opening a door to something that would change me for the better”.
The music video accompanying her newest single was shot in New York City before the huge city was hit by the Coronavirus outbreak. In the visuals, Francesca Blanchard spends the night walking through the bustling streets and the subway corridors, as she sings her heartfelt lyrics. The engaging melody of “Did It To Myself” is set to grab your mind straight away, so be sure not to miss it!
