The Endless Summer Tour has begun, with G-Eazy, Logic, YG and Yo Gotti in Dallas, Texas. To celebrate this, G-Eazy has released some new music. “In The Meantime” is a tribute to the, at times, thrilling nightlife and features Quavo from Migos, with production duties handled by DJ Mustard.
It begins very delicate, then slightly ominous synthesiser and heavy bass kick in. Overall, though, the beat has a laidback, positive vibe. The clapping drum beat probably suiting, indeed, a homage to thrilling nightlife. It mixes rapped verses and autotuned hooks, the latter, perhaps, suiting the slightly spaced out, soaring, backdrop. Refreshing, in a way.
