Welsh singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Georgia Ruth, has announced her new album, Fossil Scale, due for release on Friday, October 7, 2016 via Navigator Records. The album is the follow up to 2013’s Welsh Music Prize winning Week Of Pines. Georgia has also sung on “Divine Youth”, a track on Manic Street Preachers‘ Futurology album.
She has also come forth with album opener to Fossil Scale, “The Doldrums”. It opens with sedate, decidedly unhappy and melancholy organ and guitar. It slowly builds, as if to temporarily take flight, or just glide, and come back to the ground unexpectedly. A soulful bit of adlibbing greets the song’s end.
