People may have caught glimpses of it as the cast and crew of Ghostbusters shot with it around Boston, but now Sony has officially revealed the form of transport we can hope to see our new characters using to get from ghost to ghost. In something that hopefully won’t mean Ghostbusters meets Sons of Anarchy, the new Ghostbuster team will be riding around on the Ecto-2 motorbike.
With a design that is just crazy, yet seems loaded with heavy-duty tech, the Ecto-2 was made by Madhouse Motors so that Melissa McCarthy could do wheelies down the street whilst firing the neutron wands mounted on the front (get that image out of your head). The Ecto-2 motorbike will ultimately be supplementary to their primary form of transportation, the Ecto-1 car.
Ghostbusters stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon as 4 friends who decide to start up their ghost-catching business after a life-changing run-in with one. As well as retelling the story, it is still expected that the surviving ghostbusters from the original will be making an appearance of some sort; namely Billy Murray, Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd. Ghostbusters will arrive on the big screen July 15 and you can see their new bike below.
