The evocative and highly experimental Ghostpoet sees in the festive season with his latest video for current single “Be Right Back, Moving House” which combined, create a beautiful combustion of lyrics and imagery. The track is currently settled on the A-list at BBC 6 Music and comes after a recent run of arena shows with alt-J and The Horrors. “Be Right Back, Moving House” is a brilliant trip hoppy track, taken from his third album Shedding Skin, that came as another stunning collection of story telling and fear fuelled beats, and to no surprise was shortlisted for this year’s Mercury Prize.
This latest video which features a cameo from Maximo Park’s Paul Smith showcases the everyday struggle for people achieving exactly what they want, and being bored of the never ending routine. The video is delivered simply but with a very artistic eye, which could be down to the directing of SBlood, because as an audience you are captured by the struggle and repetitive nature of the imagery, and immediately feel like you are involved in the dream like video.
