Tokio Hotel’s lead single, “When We Were Younger,” from their 7th full-length studio album, 2001, released in 2022, offers a nostalgic glimpse into the band’s past. The emotional music video retraces their journey from their teenage years to the present, showcasing the strong bond that has held the band together all these years.
As an accomplished group, Tokio Hotel has little left to prove. Over the years, they have amassed numerous awards, including European, Latin, and Japan Music Awards, as well as about 70 platinum and 120 gold awards. With 10 million records sold in 68 countries, the band is poised to break new records once again.
The lead single, “When We Were Younger,” from the album 2001 will be incorporated into the setlist of their upcoming world tour, providing the perfect opportunity to introduce their new song alongside their other successful hits. The tour also serves as a way to thank their fans for their unwavering loyalty and continued support of their music.
Tokio Hotel’s long-awaited ‘Beyond The World Tour 2023’ finally kicked off on April 30, 2023, in London. This comes after the band had to cancel 43 dates of their 2020 “Melancholic Paradise” world tour in South and North America, Europe, and Asia due to the pandemic. Of the original 14 scheduled shows, only 11 remain in Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, and Norway.
