Grammy Winner Cedric Gervais Team Up With Nile Rodgers For ‘We Are Family’

Cedric Gervais, is known for his Grammy Award for the best remix for his rendition of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” that was realised in 2013. The track made a significant mark in the electronic music scene with multi-platinum singles and top 10 hits on Billboard.

As well as UK and ARIA charts; that’s not all, as he is also known for his global appeal and has two BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes while hosts a weekly radio show. He is also known in the film industry with his acting roles in Micheal Bay’s “Pain & Gain” and Pete Berg’s “The Long Night”.

Meanwhile, Nile Rodgers, a rock and roll Hall of fame inductee and multiple Grammy Winner, he received a lifetime achievement Grammy in 2023 and another for his collaboration with Beyoncé on “Cuff It”.

As the co-founder of Chic, he pioneered iconic hits like “Le Freak” and “GOOD Times”, and has produced for legends such as Madonna and David Bowie. contributing to over 500 million album sales worldwide.

Together, these two artists exemplify the power of musical innovation and influence across genres.

This collaboration formed the remarkable and vibrant, new interpretation of Sister Sledge’s iconic piece “We Are Family”. Merging both Cedric’s dynamic big-room house beat with Nile’s legendary funk grooves, results in the dance floor anthem that captures the essence of the original while infusing it with a modern twist.

“we Are Family” blends the worlds of both artists, showcasing a captivating mix of soulful funk and house music. This marks their second collaboration on a classic hit, following the triumphant release of “Everybody Dance” that featured Franklin in 2020.
