The next Avengers films Infinity War Part One and Infinity War Part Two look to take our previously Earth Bound team into a cosmic adventure. This means the Avengers will most likely team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy gang.
The two part Avengers saga will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The directors are currently putting the finishing touches on Captain America: Civil War due for release April 29, 2016. Joe Russo has recently been chatting about Avengers: Infinity War:
“We will say this: people will not be disappointed in the amount of characters in the movie. The concept of Infinity War is that the Marvel universe unites to battle the greatest threat to the world and universe that you’ve ever seen, and we’re going to honour that concept“. I think we will all be very surprised if The Guardians of the Galaxy do not feature in these films.
Russo continued:
“We’re just going to approach the cosmic side with the same fervour that we did the earthbound work we’ve been doing. We also are going to work really hard to bring a psychological realism. We obviously can’t bring a naturalism to it because it doesn’t really exist outside of science fiction, but we can bring that psychological realism to it, to the characters, and that’s going to be our focus“.
Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 arrives on May 4 2018, whilst Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 will be with us on May 3 2019. The dates are already in the diary!
