“Repeat” is the brand new single from Virginia R&B singer and songwriter Zariyah Natalya, taken from her new 5-track EP titled Endangered, which comes with production from the likes of 8rokeboy, Nelson Leiro, and Masked Man.
The track and the rest of the EP reveal Zariyah’s poetic heavenly soulful take on R&B music, while also offering an alternative approach to her dynamic. Not settling for just one genre base. While it has strong influences of 90s R&B, it also creates a cinematic atmosphere with heavy instrumentation, ushering in a dark chill mood, while remaining sensual in tune.
Lyrically, Zariyah is also exploring the deeper side of things, and XXXXX. She also allows many variations within some of her vocal abilities to shine through on “Repeat”, while moving effortlessly over the musical backdrop, and seamlessly layering in new elements as well.
Speaking about the inspiration behind “Repeat”, Zariyah Natalya says, “the song is an urban crafted art of music. It’s open to anyone’s imagination, and it represents whatever in your life is on repeat or feeling like an endless cycle.
The mood is somewhat dark and mysterious but is definitely food for your soul. The aesthetic of the entire EP is very versatile, from music that will get you having fun to music that will make you express subtle pain, but the creation process is to embody music we can feel, vibe with, and dance to“.
